Generation Cycle:

Air that has been purified (free of moisture and oil) is compressed and passed through a molecular sieve tower (Zeolite type). To allow oxygen to flow through at the necessary purity level, the sieves selectively adsorb nitrogen.

Regeneration Cycle:

The abrupt depressurization during the regeneration cycle releases nitrogen molecules that had been trapped in the sieve pores and push them to the surface of the beads. Through the regeneration opening, a small fraction of the oxygen from the drying tower is transmitted across the sieves. As a result, the trapped gases are entirely exhausted, and molecular sieves completely regenerate.
