Blower Reactivated Air Dryer

In this JOG Waste dryer, moisture is removed from the compressed air by passing it through the regenerating desiccant bed, and dry air is released through the outlet.

Aerial air is heated to 175 degrees Celsius and forced against the saturated desiccant bed to regenerate the desiccant. Every bit of the adsorbed moisture evaporates and is released. Depending on the needed level of air dryness, the bed can be cooled using ambient air without a heater or by recirculating some air through a heat exchanger. This system, which is a no-purge loss kind, can dry the air to a temperature of (-) 80 degrees Celsius. Typically, such dryers are favored for greater flow rates.

Principle of Operation

Using the Thermal Swing concept, the Blower Heat Reactivated Dryer operates. Dry air is produced by the desiccant’s adsorption of moisture from compressed air. As time passes, the desiccant bed becomes saturated. Warm air produced by a blower is used to heat the saturated bed and rejuvenate it. Blower heat reactivated desiccant dryer is the name given to the drier for this reason. Thermal swing type is used to describe beds whose temperatures fluctuate between compressed air and regeneration temperatures. Blower heated air flowed via heater before exiting. The air is extremely dry as a result. Afterward, the desiccant bed is heated by the hot air. The heated bed releases the moisture that has been absorbed and is prepared for adsorption. This moisture enters the atmosphere with the hot air. The heated desiccant bed is cooled after regeneration to the appropriate temperature for the application. The system has no Dewpoint spike because the final cooling is done using a no-loss compressed air cooling approach. A dewpoint-based control system is standard equipment on JOG WTE dryers. In order to save energy and extend life, the tower only switches over when the bed is wet. The dryer automatically controls the drying, regeneration, and re-pressurization of the desiccant columns while its control valves and controller provide continuous dry compressed air. The applications that call for a lot of compressed air at a low dewpoint are best suited for blower heat reactivated dryers. The dryer uses extremely little energy in the aforementioned circumstances. The design of JOG WTE blower heat reactivated dryers is geared at customization. Customization results in significant energy savings due to the huge air volume.
